Necktie, Black, Squared Ends – Blemished

Original price was: $9.95.Current price is: $6.95.

This reproduction black cotton necktie follows the style issued to U.S. Army personnel from the Punitive Expedition through the interwar years. This flat-end pattern first appeared during Pershing’s 1916 border campaign and remained standard for dress and service uniforms into the 1920s and 1930s. Made from simple black cotton with flat ends on both sides, it measures approximately 48 inches—short by modern standards, but correct for period use. Ties like this were worn tucked between the second and third buttons of the service shirt or under a dress uniform coat.

Ideal for Mexican Border, World War I, and interwar portrayals, this tie reflects the practical, understated style of early 20th-century U.S. Army uniform regulations. For later WWII impressions, a pointed-end or khaki tie would be more accurate.

THIS TIE has a stitching issue, the ends didn’t line up quite right, and so when ironed, the crease was created in the middle. We stitched it down the middle so there isn’t any problem with the tie now, but you can spot the crease. When worn, you can’t tell at all, and I’m sure it won’t affect the knot either. Save a few bucks on this great reproduction!
