WWII Japanese Type 30 Bayonet – Toyoda/Nagoya Arsenal – Serial #3-81661 with Scabbard
Original WWII-era Japanese Type 30 bayonet, manufactured by Toyoda Automatic Loom Works under Nagoya Arsenal supervision. This is a later-war production model with a simplified straight crossguard (no hooked quillon), typical of streamlined wartime manufacturing. The blade is clean with no major pitting, and retains a solid, usable edge. Wood grips are intact and secure, showing age and handling but no cracks or structural issues. Serial number 3-81661 is clearly stamped on the pommel. Arsenal markings on the ricasso include the stacked cannonball symbol of Nagoya and the Toyoda inspection mark.
Comes with the original metal scabbard, which shows consistent age wear and light rust pitting throughout, but is fully intact. No frog is included. A solid representative example of a mid-to-late WWII Japanese bayonet, perfect for collectors of Pacific Theater militaria or reenactors looking for a genuine piece of gear.
Approximate length: 20 inches. Blade length: 15.5 inches
