WWII 1944 U.S. Military Mess Tray Mack Molding Co. Brown Melmac 6 Compartment

Original WWII era U.S. military molded mess tray manufactured by Mack Molding Co. and clearly marked on the reverse “MACK MOLDING CO. 2 U.S.A. M.D. 1944.” Brown marbled molded construction with six divided food compartments. Measures approximately 15.5 x 12 inches. The 1944 date places this squarely in World War II production, and the molded military markings make it a nice identifiable piece of wartime mess equipment. Sort of makes you feel like school lunch, right? This mess tray is in pretty nice condition for the age.
