M1 Paratrooper Helmet Liner, 1970s-80s

U.S. M1 paratrooper helmet liner with a sweatband dated 1980. The liner itself has a worn appearance and an unreadable interior tag. The sweatband is in noticeably better condition than the liner, indicating it was likely added later. A sticker remnant on the leather of the sweatband suggests it saw minimal use after being installed. The liner shell has no cracks or chips and remains fully serviceable. Webbing and A-yokes are intact and securely attached. This example reflects the type of gear still in circulation in the late 1970s and into the 1980s.
