Original US G.I. Steel Pot, Rear-Seam, Swivel Bale

$25.00

Crust bucket, or rust bucket? Actually, I think it was in a fire. No, literally. Looks a little toasty. However, despite being a real project-pot, it doesn’t have any major dents, so you just need to sand the heck out of it and you can leave the ball-peen hammer in the shop. The bales are slightly bent, but still swivel as they are supposed to. In fact, if you are not too picky, you could sand this up, paint it, and put some new chin straps on it in just an afternoon. Not too much work… well, not if you are handy. If you can’t twiddle your thumbs accurately, not a project for you. Work some OT and buy a nice one from my buddy Josh Murray at JMurray1944 This is a post-WWII rear seam swivel bale helmet, made sometime in the 1970s or 1980s, left in a field for 50 years, and here ya go! Ready for you to restore to it’s former glory!
