Vintage U.S. Navy Officer Insignia Grouping with Cap Bands, Bullion Pilot Wings, and Single Shoulder Board

Mixed lot of vintage U.S. Navy officer insignia and uniform components, offered together as found. This grouping includes two black mohair cap bands with attached officer devices, one pair of bullion pilot wings, and a single shoulder board with bullion rank and star insignia. The larger cap band features a U.S. Navy officer cap device with eagle, shield, and crossed anchors. The band shows significant wear from use and storage, including fraying, surface scratches, small holes, and loose stitching. The metal insignia remains securely attached and displays well despite the wear. The smaller cap band features a gilt anchor insignia and is in noticeably better condition, with lighter wear, minor fraying at the ends, and a more intact appearance overall. Also included is a vintage pair of bullion U.S. Navy aviator wings with gold embroidery on a black backing. The wings show expected age and handling wear but retain good detail and remain suitable for display or restoration projects. Completing the lot is a single officer shoulder board with dark navy wool backing, one silver bullion star, and two gold bullion rank stripes. The attachment tab on the reverse, used to secure the shoulder board to the uniform epaulet, is missing. As a result, this piece is best suited for display, collecting, or use as a restoration example rather than for wear.
