Vintage U.S. Navy Ensign Shoulder Boards Pair by Vanguard with Line Officer Stars

A matched pair of vintage U.S. Navy Ensign shoulder boards manufactured by Vanguard Military Equipment Co., New York. Each board features the single gold rank stripe and gilt line officer star denoting the rank of Ensign, the Navy equivalent of a Second Lieutenant in the Army. Constructed with dark navy wool facing, gilt Navy buttons, and black rear attachment loops, these shoulder boards remain in very good condition with light storage and handling wear. The reverse of one board retains the original Vanguard maker marking. An excellent set for naval aviation, officer uniform, or Cold War era U.S. Navy collections.
