Original U.S. Army Ground Forces (AGF) shoulder sleeve insignia dating to World War II or the immediate postwar period. This embroidered patch features the distinctive blue, white, and red horizontal stripes associated with Army Ground Forces and retains its original olive drab border. The patches shows clear evidence of use, having been removed from uniforms with visible stitching remnants and wear consistent with age and service. Colors remain strong, though minor fraying, edge wear, and signs of previous attachment are present. The Army Ground Forces command existed from 1942 to 1948 and oversaw the training and organization of U.S. Army combat units during World War II. A solid original example for collectors, uniform restorations, shadow boxes, or World War II displays.
