Antique hand-carved long stem tobacco pipe, likely of Central European origin. This unusual pipe measures approximately 16 inches long when assembled and breaks down into multiple sections for storage and cleaning. Features a carved wooden bowl in the form of a stylized hand, long hardwood stem, removable wooden mouthpiece, metal fittings, and an original hinged wind cap over the bowl. The pipe remains highly decorative and displays beautifully as a piece of folk art tobacciana. The bowl shows evidence of past use and still retains the aroma of tobacco. The wind cap opens and closes properly, though it does not lock tightly and may require minor adjustment. The pipe exhibits age, wear, and patina consistent with long-term use and storage. A distinctive collector’s piece suitable for tobacciana, folk art, Black Forest, Tyrolean, Austrian, or European antique collections. For the reenactors, this one is suitable for Boer War, Spanish American War, or even World War I.
