WWII U.S. Army Enlisted Garrison Cap – No Piping, Dated 1942, Size 7

Original World War II U.S. Army garrison cap with no branch piping, typical enlisted issue, dated April 27, 1942 on the interior contract tag from Continental Hat & Cap Co. Size 7. This one has clearly seen service and has that honest, worn look without being abused. The wool body still holds its shape well, with expected light soiling and age toning throughout. Interior shows use but remains intact, with readable tag and solid stitching. There is a small moth bite near the edge, shown in photos, but nothing that detracts from overall display or use in the field. A good, straight example for reenactors or living history where a mint piece would look out of place. This is the kind of cap that actually looks right with a field impression.
