Leather field gear lot including two GI fork sheaths and one scissors sheath, all in WWII style for use with the M1928 haversack system, designed to keep mess forks from cutting into pack canvas and fitting into the internal slots of a U.S. Army haversack; the two fork sheaths are solid, functional pieces that do exactly what they should for field use they both have some simply stitching issues which make them “seconds” in our book. The scissors sheath is a second with one side sewn reversed (suede out on one face, smooth on the other) and slightly uneven stitching, but still fully functional and secure; this is a practical set geared toward reenactors and living history use rather than display, offered together at a discounted lot price, with comparable individual values typically around $8 to $10 for fork sheath sets and about $5 to $8 for a scissors sheath; for scale, each grid square in the photos measures 1/2 inch.
