Original World War II U.S. .50 caliber (12.7×99mm) cartridge case marked “SL 4” for St. Louis Ordnance Plant, 1944, with a spent primer and good honest patina from age, a solid wartime example that displays well and represents heavy U.S. ammunition production during WWII, ideal for collectors, displays, or reenacting setups. This one I actually picked up at the Yakima Training Center when we did a reenactment out there a decade or more ago. Literally just kicked the dirt and there it was. So this training center is in the middle of Washington state and it’s big. Been used since the war in fact. So there is cool history with this casing that was made in the heat of it all.
