Vintage twist-to-open double-edge safety razor, 1950s or 60s

$15.00

This is a vintage twist-to-open double-edge safety razor, most likely from the 1950s or 60s. Instead of coming apart like the earlier 1920s–40s razors, this style opens at the head when you twist the knob at the base of the handle, often called a butterfly mechanism. That design made blade changes quicker and became common after WWII, so while it’s a true vintage razor it would not be correct for WWII shaving kits where the handle and head came apart completely. The knurled metal handle and solid construction reflect the quality of mid-century manufacturing, though no maker’s mark is visible. A good piece for collectors, vintage shaving enthusiasts, Vietnam War reenactors, or display.
