This is a small bag of assorted vintage stick pins, probably from the 1950s–60s. They vary slightly in size, with the red ball-tipped pins measuring about 1.5 inches and the smaller ones just over an inch. (The squares on the table are 1/2″) The red ball style is ideal for use as map pins, while the others work well in sewing kits, craft projects, or even as accessories for reenactment gear. All have a steel shaft with colored ball tops of different sizes, giving them a classic mid-century look.
For collectors of vintage sewing notions, these make a nice display item, but they’re just as useful for practical purposes—whether plotting out campaigns on a map board, stocking a period sewing kit, or outfitting props for film or museum use.
