Original 1973-74 U.S. Army Infantry School instructor training pamphlet covering the Browning M1919A6 caliber .30 machine gun. Marked “Instructor Set,” 1420-NG, Weapons, Twentieth Period, and “For Instructors Only,” this was prepared by the Nonresident Instruction/ROTC Affairs Department at Fort Benning, Georgia for National Guard instruction. Dated 9 February 1973 internally and marked SY 1973-74 on the cover. Approximately 12 pages total, including a four-page advance sheet and instructional material covering the M1919A6, its ammunition and related information, with period illustrations and a feedback form at the rear. This is a small specialized instructor document rather than a general issue field or technical manual, which makes it an unusual piece of Vietnam-era Army training material. Used condition with staining and evidence of old moisture exposure, some age toning and handling wear, and oxidation/rust to the two staples. Pages remain readable and intact. No musty odor noted.
