WWII U.S. Army Infantry Garrison Cap – Early War, Size 7 1/8, Used Condition

Original World War II U.S. Army garrison cap with correct light blue infantry piping, size 7 1/8. Maker tag inside shows Funk Bros. Hat & Cap Co. with Quartermaster contract dated March 14, 1942, making this a nice early war example. This cap has clearly been in service and shows honest use, with some light soiling and wear consistent with age, but overall it remains in very solid condition. I do not see any moth holes in the wool, and the cap still presents well with a good shape and strong color. It has that well-used field look many reenactors actually prefer—broken in but not abused or filthy. A great piece for a WWII reenactor, living historian, or for someone putting together a realistic display. These early contract infantry caps with visible service wear have a lot of character and still hold up well more than eighty years later.
