Vintage Gillette Double Edge Gillette Safety Razor – 1930s–1940s – Repaired Handle, Fully Functional

Original price was: $25.00.Current price is: $12.00.

Original Gillette double edge safety razor dating to the late 1930s through World War II era. This example features the classic three-piece construction with a brass body and gold-toned finish, along with the stamped Gillette diamond logo and “Made in U.S.A.” marking on the guard. These characteristics place it firmly within wartime production, when Gillette was producing durable, straightforward razors for both civilian and military use. The razor shows honest age and service wear, with a developed patina across the brass and some light oxidation in recessed areas. The handle has a crack along the barrel that has been internally reinforced and stabilized using JB Weld. The repair is solid and does not affect function. The razor threads properly, assembles tightly, and is ready for continued use. Mechanically, it remains in very good working condition. The head, guard, and cap align correctly, and all components are present. This is a functional piece with clear signs of age, making it well suited for use rather than display-only collecting.

For scale, each grid square in the background photos measures 1/2 inch.

This is a strong choice for anyone putting together a period shaving kit, especially for reenactment, living history, or vintage lifestyle use where authenticity and usability matter more than pristine condition.
