USAF officer’s raincoat, dark blue in color and marked size 38R – Lieutenant Colonel

This is an original United States Air Force officer’s raincoat, dark blue in color and marked size 38R. It features shoulder epaulets with Lieutenant Colonel rank insignia (silver oak leaf), displayed under protective clear plastic tabs. The coat is unlined with a classic button-up front, lightweight and water-resistant, typical of regulation outerwear from the 1960s.

It shows light wrinkling from storage but no damage or staining, making it an excellent candidate for display, reenactment, or wear. This type of raincoat was standard issue for U.S. Air Force officers during the Cold War era, and is a great example of mid-century military uniform design.
