“Bag, Patient’s Effects” Manufactured by Archer Textiles, Inc.

$18.00

This original military “Bag, Patient’s Effects” is a great example of Vietnam-era medical issue gear. Manufactured by Archer Textiles, Inc., it features the FSN 6530-715-0915 number, which was used prior to the full transition to the NSN system in the mid-1970s. The packaging style and materials suggest a production date in the later Vietnam War years or shortly after. These lightweight cotton bags were standard issue for storing a wounded or hospitalized soldier’s personal items and were commonly used in field hospitals and aid stations. With its clear black stenciling and the white ID patch on the front, this item represents a functional yet often overlooked part of military life. It’s in unissued condition with the original paper wrap, making it a great collectible or display piece for those focusing on Vietnam War medical or personal effects gear. The original paper envelope it comes with has lost the glue on the side over time, that’s how the bag comes out, didn’t rip it at all. So it can be put back in and glued to look “unopened”. The bag has never been used at all.
