Original U.S. Army Technical Manual TM 9-1005-229-35, dated December 14, 1964, covering direct and general support and depot maintenance, repair parts and special tools for the .45 caliber M3 and M3A1 submachine guns, commonly known as the “Grease Gun.” This is the earlier 1964 edition, which was specifically superseded by the revised September 1969 edition. The manual contains 57 pages with detailed photographs, illustrations, inspection information, repair procedures, parts information and exploded views of the M3 and M3A1. This example is in superb condition for a 1964 military technical manual. Pages and covers are exceptionally clean with only light age toning, minor edge and corner wear, and an occasional small nick. Three-hole punched as issued for binder storage.
