Original U.S. Army Training Circular TC 101-2, Tactical Operations Centers, dated May 25, 1960. This 72-page Cold War era publication covers the organization, operation, staffing, and functions of Army Tactical Operations Centers (TOCs). Subjects include command and staff responsibilities, planning, intelligence and operations sections, data processing, Army aviation, air defense, engineers, chemical, biological and radiological elements, tactical air support, protection from attack, and the establishment and displacement of a TOC. An interesting early Cold War look at how the Army organized and operated battlefield command centers at the beginning of the 1960s. This booklet is punched for binder use. The left edge and punched areas show noticeable wear and tearing as pictured, but the pages remain readable and usable.
