Vintage Gillette double edge safety razor dating to the late 1930s through World War II period, with “Gillette” stamped directly on the head along with “Made in U.S.A.” and patent markings. This style, with the branding on the top cap, is consistent with Gillette’s pre-war and wartime production when the company was producing large quantities of razors for both civilian and military use. Solid brass construction with a classic knurled handle, this is the same general type widely used during the WWII era and commonly found in field shaving kits. This example is in very good condition, showing light age and some minor surface wear but retaining a strong original finish. Fully complete and functional. A great piece for use, display, or to round out a period-correct kit. For scale, each grid square visible in the photos measures 1/2 inch.
