This is an original Chilean Model 1895 Mauser bayonet with scabbard, manufactured by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. of Solingen, Germany. Produced between 1895 and 1901, these bayonets were made under contract for the Chilean military and designed to accompany the Mauser M1895 rifle. The blade is marked with the WKC Solingen stamp and features a long, deep fuller. The serial number “G9387” is clearly stamped on the guard and matches the format used during early production. The wood grips are intact and well-aged, secured with original rivets. The steel scabbard fits snugly and has a smooth, dark patina consistent with age and use. This is a textbook example of German export craftsmanship made for South American forces—an excellent addition for collectors of Mauser bayonets, South American militaria, or Solingen blades.
