It’s marked with the National Stock Number 6545-113-3722 and was manufactured by Welsh, A Textron Company under contract number DSA120-72-C-3132, dating it firmly to 1972. The raised lettering identifies it as a Case, Medical Instrument and Supply Set, Plastic, Rigid, Size A—intended for field medics or general purpose kits during the Vietnam and Cold War era.
