British Pattern 1907 Bayonet – Sanderson – Dated 1918

This is an original British Pattern 1907 bayonet, manufactured by Sanderson and dated September 1918. Designed for use with the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) rifle, this iconic bayonet saw widespread use by British and Commonwealth forces during World War I and into World War II. The blade features the crowned “GR” cypher of King George V, with clear markings including the model designation “1907,” the date “9 ’18,” and the manufacturer “Sanderson.” The reverse ricasso displays British inspection stamps, military acceptance marks, and ordnance symbols typical of this period. The blade retains its full length and is in good overall condition, showing wear consistent with its age and history. The wood grips are tight and intact, with an aged patina and expected handling marks. The press-stud mechanism functions properly, and the overall piece is structurally sound with no modifications or post-service alterations.
No scabbard is included. This is a fine representative example of a WWI-era British bayonet—great for collectors, reenactors, or historical display.
