1968 U.S. Army Infantry School Intelligence Handbook Fort Benning Vietnam Era

Original FY 1968 Intelligence Handbook issued by the United States Army Infantry School at Fort Benning, Georgia. This substantial Vietnam era handbook covers combat intelligence, the intelligence cycle, collection and processing of information, counterintelligence, analysis of the area of operations, intelligence estimates, weather and terrain, and intelligence considerations for airborne, airmobile, amphibious and other special operations. The cover carries the Infantry School “Follow Me” insignia and is marked FY 68. This is a thick, heavily illustrated period training handbook rather than a later commercial publication. Overall good used condition with expected age and storage wear, including some cover scuffing and staining, edge and corner wear, age toning to the page edges, and oxidation to the exposed staples. Binding remains intact and the interior appears quite clean and serviceable. An interesting original Vietnam era reference for a U.S. Army, military intelligence, Infantry School or Fort Benning collection.
