WWII Brass Ashtray Made of Japanese Shell Casing

Japanese Brass Artillery Casing made into an Ashtray.  Marked “FRAN” and a cool little palm tree.  A soldier in the Pacific Theater made this baby during World War II.  Very cool piece of original trench art.  Real one-of-a-kind.  Very heavy, very brass.  Almost 7 inches in diameter.  This was a big shell for a big gun!  Japanese script on the bottom of it.
