These vintage buttons are a mix of mostly white and cream tones. The group features both 2-hole and 4-hole designs with a few intricate molded examples and signs of hand-stitching or fabric remnants still in the holes. Came from an old button jar I pilfered and fits well with period clothing repairs or craft projects with a historical vibe.
Dating these types of buttons can be tricky, but based on the patina, thread types, and materials, they most likely range from the mid Twentieth Century.
These are not military-issue, but would be right at home in reenacting circles for civilian clothing repairs, theater costuming, or crafting with authentic vintage notions. If you’re a button collector or need details for restoration, this set has the feel of genuine, pre-1980s American sewing stash.
