Mess Pan, Dated 1945 MA Co. -Rough Shape but Functional

This 1945 G.I. mess pan needs a good scrub down, and maybe some time under the polishing wheel.  Got a Dremel?  The pan is in working condition, some light pitting, and some rust on the hinges.  Most of this corrosion will come off, and I think it can be saved.  No major dents or holes at least!  The lid snaps on very tight, but works well.  This one was found at a yard sale sitting in a box outdoors.  Probably for the last 70 years.  Save some bucks on this one.
