Original period copy from an FBI Academy wound ballistics workshop held September 15–17, 1987. This is a 26-page document covering handgun wound ballistics with a strong focus on the long-standing 9mm versus .45 Auto debate. Content includes charts, graphs, and tables detailing bullet performance, velocity, grain weights, and predicted short-range effects in soft tissue, along with discussion of incapacitation and wound characteristics. Some referenced data appears to draw from studies dating back into the 1970s. The document is a photocopied training-style packet typical of the era. It retains a very authentic late-1980s look and feel. Originally stapled at the upper left, with one staple still partially holding at the bottom. The top staple has pulled free and the back page is detached. General wear consistent with age, handling, and storage. From an estate and preserved as found. An interesting piece for collectors of law enforcement history, firearms research, or anyone interested in the development of modern wound ballistics understanding.
