Scarf, made from WWII blanket

Ok, I have to explain this.  Twenty years ago when I was first reenacting, I didn’t have a ton of gear.  So in lieu of a real G.I. scarf, I took an old WWII blanket that was cut all up and cut out some good fabric and made a scarf.  Yep.  Made it myself out of a WWII wool blanket.  It’s awesome.  It’s old fabric, so not pristine, but it’s clean and it works.  Now it’s time to pass it on to another new reenactor.  If you’re looking for some scrappy authenticity, or just need to stave off the cold at a winter event, this baby will do the trick.  One end is sewn shut, so you can put “hot hands” in it to warm you up.
