Large Composite 101st Airborne Map of “The Island” Campaign. 56″ x 31″ color. After Market-Garden failed, the First Allied Airborne Army, which included the 101st Screaming Eagles, were stuck in World War I type static battles with the Germans in a place between the Waal River and the Neder Rivers, north of Nijmegen. Because of the tight confines, they dubbed it, “The Island.” This was a dark chapter for the men of the 101st, and they would not see tougher action until the Battle of the Bulge. The Island composite map includes the 101st logo and the First Allied Airborne Army logo as well. Map of “The Island” $45.00
