OF THE NEWS STORY ON CBS - KIMA

Aside from running Service of Supply, Bryan Dibble is a social studies and history teacher. For the 2011-2012 school year he will again lead his journalism group, and the WWII history newspaper Years of War will continue. The focus of Years of War are the pivotal moments in US history, primarily featuring stories about WWII. Our study of conflict prepares us for the Washington State history requirements and language arts essential academic learning requirements (EALRs). Supporting our newspaper provides the students with much needed motivation to keep working hard! Please support our paper with emails, letters, or subscriptions. Mail us stamps for copies of the Selah Junior High School newspaper, Years of War. You can also email us to subscribe on-line.
The first issue of Volume I came out in September, 2008. During the first week of February 2011, we celebrated our 100th consecutive issue! Currently, we are getting ready to start another school year on August 29, 2011.

If you know a veteran who would like to read what young people are learning about WWII, give us their address and we'll get them on our mailing list. |
