WWII History Class- Weekly Newspaper
Aside from running Service of Supply, Bryan Dibble is a humanities and journalism teacher. For the 2009-2010 school year he will again teach his journalism class, and the WWII history newspaper Years of War will continue. The focus of Years of War are the pivotal moments in US history, primarily featuring stories about WWII. Our study of conflict prepares us for the Washington State history requirements and language arts essential academic learning requirements (EALRs). Supporting our newspaper provides the students with much needed motivation to keep working hard! Please support our paper with emails, letters, or subscriptions. Mail us stamps for copies of the Union Gap School newspaper, Years of War.
The first issue of Volume II came out on 9 September, 2009. During the week of December 4th, we celebrated our 50th issue! Currently, we are past issue 21, with about 15 more to go for the 2010 school year.
For more information, please email at yearsofwar@uniongap.org or write a letter to: YEARS OF WAR / Union Gap School District 3201 S. 4th Street, Union Gap, WA 98903.
